2025 Conference Highlights

Empower
& Elevate
Dance educators have the power to shape students' experiences and perceptions, positioning dance education as a transformative force. Through dance, students develop critical life skills such as discipline, resilience, and collaboration – skills that extend far beyond the studio. By prioritizing pedagogical philosophies that elevate and empower students, dance educators can make a lasting impact on their students' lives and the broader community. Dance provides a platform for individuals to share their voices, embrace their identities, and connect with others in meaningful ways.
On a broader scale, dance education strengthens communities by celebrating cultural diversity, promoting inclusivity, and advocating for social change. As educators with the freedom to design our own curricula, we are in a unique position to shape learning environments that reflect the world around us. We must ensure that dance functions both as a window into the world and as a mirror reflecting the diverse identities and experiences of our students. By continuously evolving to their needs, educators create an environment where dance is not only accessible and inspiring, but also fosters a more connected, compassionate society.
