NYSDEA is excited to continue to include opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to present their scholarly work in 30-minute sessions at the NYSDEA Annual Conference. These paper presentations are specifically designed for students to present research and projects in a classroom style setting. NHSDA members will be given priority consideration.
IMPORTANT DATES

May 5, 2025: application opens

September 15, 2025: application closes at 11:59 pm

October 2, 2025: presenter confirmation of participation deadline

Nov 21, 2025: signed contracts due
Guidelines
-
Research must be completed by December 15, 2025 to be considered.

Work that is expected to take place over the course of several phases will be considered, but must come to an appropriate stopping point by December 15, 2025.

Only 1 submission per author is allowed.

Co-Presenters are allowed.

Sessions are 30-minutes in length including questions.

Research and projects that interdisciplinary in nature are welcome to apply.

It is expected that a department/institutional faculty member or affiliated guest artist played an advisory role during the development of the work.

Students must have followed proper ethical processes and procedures for conducting research, as set out by their institution.

If the research involves human subjects, the student must have received approval by their institution for the project and been provided with written consent.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.
